Today you will learn about modal verbs, hyphens and the subjunctive form.
Modal verbs are verbs which indicate how likely something is to happen. For example: It will rain tomorrow. It might rain tomorrow.
Hyphens are used to join two words together in order to describe something else. For example: man-eating fun-loving
The subjunctive form is a verb form or mood used to express things that could or should happen. It is used to express wishes, hopes, commands, demands or suggestions. The subjunctive form will use the verb form were rather than was and doesn’t use the letter ‘s’ on the end of the verbs. For example: If I were you, I’d accept the invitation. I suggest you take a rain coat with you.
